BLIK is a Polish mobile payment system that was launched in February 2015. The method quickly gained popularity of users. Thanks to it, to pay for purchases via the Internet or in a stationary store, we only need a smartphone equipped with the right application. The current trent of non-cash payments means that by paying with BLIK we can count on promotional discounts as well as a greater number of points in loyalty programs.
What do we need to pay with BLIK?
The first step is to download the appropriate banking application that allows you to pay with BLIK. Currently, almost every Polish bank has already decided to launch this service. You must log in to the application by providing the same data that we use in online banking. From the application level, however, we can set a different PIN code that will be needed to confirm payments with the BLIK system. Of course, in order to log into the application our mobile device must have Internet access.
How to pay with BLIK online?
Almost every online store and service website already offers the option of paying conveniently with the BLIK system. How to do it? After placing the order, we choose the payment method and go to the application. By clicking on the BLIK symbol we will receive a six-digit code, which should be rewritten on the store’s website. The code is valid for 2 minutes. Within a few seconds we will receive feedback in the application. If the transfer amount and all information match, all you have to do is confirm the payment with a PIN. The transaction will be carried out immediately.
Payment by BLIK in a stationary store
You can also use the BLIK system in shops and service outlets equipped with a payment terminal. Just inform the seller that you want to pay with BLIK. Then we proceed in the same way as for internet payments, except that we enter the six-digit code on the payment terminal. The entire transaction via BLIK usually takes less than a minute. What if we don’t manage to use the code within 2 minutes? Just generate a new code.
